The VIS Kontaktparty is the largest academic IT job fair in Switzerland and primarily addresses students and graduates from the ETH Department of Computer Science. The event takes place yearly during the Spring semester and is organized by the Kontaktparty Committee (KPK) of the VIS. The mission of the Kontaktparty is to enable students and company representatives to connect and get to know each other in a casual way.

The next Kontaktparty takes place on Saturday, 14th of March 2026 from 11:00 to 17:00, in MM, the building of the Polymensa. There are more than 100 companies joining from many different fields, so don't hesitate to check it out.

Even at the very beginning of your career, you will certainly profit from joining the event -- it is never too early to start your professional network!

• The Kontaktparty is an event for all students, both from BSc. and MSc. (or even alumni!).
  
• Students from all universities and departments are welcome, but the focus lies primarily on computer science students.
  
• Even if you are a second semester student, you can come by and get a feel for the industry by talking to companies.
• You can even land yourself an internship or maybe even a full time job.
• Some companies even offer Bachelor and Master thesis positions.

How you can prepare yourself beforehand

The Kontaktparty provides you with an informal way to interact with lots of companies. Therefore you might want to prepare yourself for it -- even if you don't have a certain goal in mind.
